Service Description
Awareness and Regulation Coaching (ARC) is a series of online courses designed to help you understand your ADHD and develop strategies to manage it better. Each course runs for 6 weeks, for two hours online a week, and builds skills to help you overcome the overwhelm of life with ADHD. ARC has been designed and developed by Dr Judith Mohring, consultant psychiatrist, coach, therapist and educator. Judith is an expert trainer in adult ADHD and also lives with ADHD. Adults in paid work in England, Wales and Scotland may receive some or all of the cost of ARC funded through an Access to Work Grant. For more information, please visit: https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work Led by Simon Barnes, renowned mindfulness practitioner in conjunction with Dr. Judith Mohring, ADHD expert, this transformative 6-week course is the second module in the ARC framework and offers practical tools and evidence-based techniques for using mindfulness to manage the challenges of ADHD. Designed specifically for adults with ADHD, and adapted from Lidia Zylowska, MD's "The Mindfulness Prescription for Adult ADHD", the course focuses on helping participants cultivate greater focus, emotional regulation, and calm amidst the chaos of ADHD. Through weekly guided sessions, participants will learn how to use mindfulness as a powerful way to respond—rather than react—to ADHD symptoms, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of balance and clarity. Whether you're newly diagnosed, have been managing ADHD for years or are in a supporting role for adults with ADHD, Mindfulness for ADHD offers a supportive, practical, and empowering approach to “overcoming the overwhelm.” Key takeaways: - Simple, effective mindfulness practices tailored for ADHD minds - Strategies to manage distractibility, impulsivity, and emotional ups and downs - Tools to reduce stress and increase self-compassion - A supportive space to explore challenges and share insights with others on a similar path No prior mindfulness experience is necessary—just a willingness to explore and practice.
